a re-post from there blog site

Mr. Ed from the THE FLIP FLOP RESORT INN wondered what the GPS co-ordinates for that Lake Alamo Slot Canyon were.    N34 17.087 W113 36.707 should just about put you at the trail head.  It runs West out of a wash running North & South.  Best way to get there from highway 93 is either take 17 Mile Road (scenic) from just South of the big Burrow Creek bridge or from Wikieup on 93.  Head out on Chicken Springs road & head yourself on down towards Lake Alamo that-a-way.  And the book the boys are looking at in the photo is Janna & Mike’s book entitled, ‘ Backcountry Adventures Arizona by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson. 2001/02.  Kelly & I have an Arizona Benchmark Atlas we use…..when we can remember to use it.

the big diesel truck saga

well i danced to the tune of 1,554.$$$ and it go,s like this
Mishimoto intercooler 995.$$
up/lo/ res  hoses 85.$$
tran,s cooler 68.$$
rest  was shop work
so far so good
as long as my check book holds out  now
now the up date on the NEW 5ER
we picked the truck up monday   at 4pm way to late to run down to port st lucie
and back so i went down tue, and unloaded a hole bunch of cash
so far we spent the last 3 days moving and setting up
and no were not done and yes WE GOT A  WHOLE BUNCH OF ROOM (but no we have not tested the dishwasher)  but it,s coming
i took my old solar stuff off an am looking to set it up on the big boy
I,m thinking of adding 1 more panel 230w
seeing as how i,m adding 2 more cart battery,s and i have a lot of room for to install that part and a lot more if needed
however my roof is shit shape,, what looks like a lot of room turns out small and or in some shade some what
and to boot NOT a flat roof  it,s curved,, so my best laid plan is now VOID
but thanks to E-BAY my bracket are  on order today
now the dip shit sold me a trailer with new D rated tires 5 lugs  so we will pull my new  E rated ones off and use them
I hope to get some photos up soon
thay say it,s only fun when your spending money$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

It,s all a new saga

Well looks like we're passing the papers and the bucks $$$$$ .the 10th  so far that's good

We're trailer trash starting mon, at 1030 am   but it seems we have been that for the last 6 weeks now or so

Now for the kicker
Our 5er,s to small I'm looking at a 29. 5er if we're going to be out for 7 8 9 mo,s we need more room
The one I'm looking at is real short $$$.  Plus it has a large slide and a basement  room for my kites and my gun rack and a backup water tank to boot
If we get this one  we don't need to roll over each other and the 2 dogs to get out of bed at night
It,s a bummer getting old
If I do I'm looking at 1 or 2 up dated solar panels  and I will take some of my stuff off the 23er
With the f 350 is still over kill with a 29 footer   now if the price if fuel will come down  that would be nice
As for the ford $$$ money pit were up to 2000$$$ now let's see after the brake jobs
The aftercooler had 7 split core tubes that's Gale Banks 1300$$  cooler is junk
The old oil cooler junk
Oil lines junk
Now a new aftercooler  940$$
New oil cooler 100$$
New larger cooler lines 175$$
3 new A/F hoses 100$$
Hooking up the trans   Torque converter lockup 50$$
Hell  it,s a FORD think   (fix or repair  Daily  )
Also we're thinking with this larger 5er we will stick around here till april 5
To line up stuff that needs to be done when we're gone so we don't need to move out anyway for that time the works going on and were not under foot (bathroom is getting revamped )
what,s next   Stay tuned don't change that dial

March 10th????

Well the title co is pinning for the 10 th  Hoo ra . GO title co.
SO it looks like the 15 th we might be on the move if the kids don't grab me for some more house work
or the fordmoco   needs more $$$$ to keep her running
Miss Terrys set to go
We still have no time line to be any place , as long as it,s cooler and not hotter
Let's see how for can we get from 9am to 230pm with food and cleaning the rest rooms and dog walks
I wonder how many RV wal-mart welcome stores there are out of the state of Fl
I do know there's 18 full size truck stops so there that's that's 8 days right there
More to come
