But we come up with some interesting theories
First off the tran,s oil Does NOT smell burnt
AND there are NO codes
And the Oil temps sitting are 140
trains oil cooler is new and over size and in the right placement
with new larger lines
Seeing this would rule out the TC
if it was slipping, this would create a burnt smell
and almost rule out the clutch pack for the same reason
So were are we looking
Dropping the pan too look at the temp sender unit,, ( that,s where the little bugger is ) and to look and see if anythings a miss
Ford,s sending unit,s do go bad and there are a lot of Internet chatter about Tham failing
So one thing were doing is installing an analog as a back up
However I,m not ruling out rebuilding the tran,s at this time
Were bringing it in to the shop Tuesday am
After we rent a car$$$
